Microsoft just keep giving us “amazing deals”, the newest one being a refund of sorts. For every person that buys all of the Summer of Arcade titles, Microsoft will send them a code for 8oo MS Points. Note that after adding up the prices of all the games, it does in fact add up to $70. While the average Xbox 360 junkie will look at this as a steal, without adding up the total, you are technically paying the price of a retail game for 5 XBLA games. This, however, wouldn’t be the first time we’ve gotten some shady deals from Microsoft *cough*usualdealoftheweek*cough*. But hey, that extra 800 is enough to get a new Arcade game right……RIGHT?
For those who don’t know(and you should), here is a list of all the Summer of Arcade titles, their price and their release date.
- July 22: ‘Splosion Man 800MS Points ($10) +
- July 29: Marvel vs. Capcom 2 1200MS Points ($15) +
- August 5: TMNT: Turtles in Time Re-shelled 1200MS Points ($15) +
- August 12: Trials HD 1200MS Points ($15) +
- August 19: Shadow Complex 1200MS Points ($15) = $70

Oh I see this being a good deal with peeps that love XBLA games a whole lot, but for me that’s spending too much to get a free game.
Well for the usual game it would be nice to get 800 points for a buy, but in the end if you were to buy all would would be spending a hefty price ($70) thats more than a current gen game (new) but with 800MS points its a nice little gift for all
Indeed. Good deal. I may end up buying all of these one day…wonder if there’s a time limit.
