Today Nintendo revealed the lifetime, worldwide sales for both consoles Wii and DSi as part of Nintendo’s financial results for the past quarter (April-June).  Here are the numbers:

Wii: 52.62 million
DSi: 6.68 million.

The DSi nearly selling 7 million units is quite an achievement, considering it’s only recently been released.  Nintendo seems unstoppable at the moment, no matter how good or bad the software may be, the console is in a domnating position.

How long do you guys think Nintendo can dominate for?  Do you think it’ll ever get it’s self in the same situation as the GameCube?

I think like in a 1 1/2 or 2 years we will see the Wii sales slow down dramaticly. But by that time their new console will be out.
