The Conduit garnered a considerable amount of attention before and after its release. It was highly rumored many developers were watching how well the title would do at retail and various Wii fans were calling it the last hope for “hardcore” Wii titles (which is of course absolute nonsense). As such, there has been much speculation over how many copies The Conduit managed to shift in its first week. With Sega releasing their financial summery for Q1 of 2009, they have finally revealed the numbers. In North America and Europe, The Conduit sold 150,000 copies between the 23rd June to the 30th June.
It isn’t a astounding, earth shattering figure exactly but certainly not disappointing given the current decline in gaming sales and the all round craptacular economy. Not bad for for a new I.P on what is often thought to be a casual-orientated console. As a full month has passed since then, I think we can expect the total sales figures to be significantly higher.

Well that’s not bad for a games first week, I mean it could have been better comparing to many titles out there but it’s decent enough for a slow summer gaming season.
