A media company funded by the government of Abu Dhabi are teaming up with California-based publisher/developer Gazillion Entertainment to make online games for the Arab nations.

It’s a joint venture (50-50) and the Abu Dhabi Media Company plan to build an online-specific gaming studio in the center of the UAE’s capital and second biggest city.

Gazillion are handling the Marvel MMO series and own the likes of NetDevil (Jumpgate, Auto Assault, Lego Universe, Jumpgate Evolution). They’ve got the experience, the Arab world has the money – but we probably won’t see the efforts in the Western world.
