Bicycle Used as Racing Game Controller for Research

Researchers at the University of Florida hope that women with osteoarthritis can be helped with severe knee joint pain by using a bicycle as a controller for a racing game.
While seemingly bizarre, this article tells of the treatment and its benefits. Apparently, women with this form of arthritis – typically in their 50s onwards – can benefit from physical activity such as walking, swimming and cycling. So researchers have decided to combine the goal-based nature of racing games with cycling to help women with the pain.
It’s quite interesting, and no actual video game is mentioned – all we know is that it’s popular.
