This might not really come as a surprise to some of you, seeing as to how many Q4 2009 games have already been pushed back to well into 2010. Either out of fear of being swallowed up by the amazing list of titles headed our way over the next month or so, or simply just because the game wasn’t finished by the expected date, there are indeed many games which gamers are just going to bash their heads onto the wall for simply not being able to get their hands on them, (I’m talking to you Mass Effect 2). However, there was one particularly noticeable delay which garnered some hate towards the publisher, that game was that of Starcraft II. Being in development for well over six years now, one can’t help but wonder as to what the heck the reasons could be for such a long delay. Well, at least anxious Starcraft II fans will be able to relieve some of this stress with the Starcraft II beta, right? RIGHT!? It appears that wont be the case, as Blizzard’s Chris Sigaty has just confirmed that even the beta has been pushed back to 2010.
Is anyone else starting to feel a little frustration at this too? I mean, I know Blizzard likes perfection in their games, but this is seriously just ridiculous. The game features only ONE campaign, and apart from this, pretty much every dang-on preview you can get your hands on will tell you the exact same thing; that this is basically just Starcraft, only prettier. So, what the heck’s taking Blizzad so freaking long!? The last game that I had to wait this long for was Too Human, and we all know how good that game was, (for those that don’t know, the game sucked!). I mean, is Blizzard even aware of the chaos this has caused in South Korea, or is causing wide-spread chaos across the globe part of the master plan?
