Recently, BioWare co-founder and CEO Dr. Ray Muzyka made a very interesting little statement, and I’ll tell you this much, it was enough to make us Koku ninjas scratch our heads; And that’s something that doesn’t happen very often. Dr. Muzyka noted that the company is working on something unannounced as of yet.
“There’s some stuff that hasn’t been announced yet that we’re really excited about,” said Dr. Muzyka on a recent episode of GTTV, things that are apparently much “different than anything you’ve heard of to date.”
Whatever this new something may be, there are already clues out there that hint at this being a completely new intellectual property. The first coming in the form of a LinkedIn profile from someone who claims he worked at BioWare as a Senior Producer on an “unreleased original IP” from January 2008 to June 2009. When you take note that both the original Mass Effect, as well as Dragon Age: Origins were already either released or announced well before 2008, I would consider it safe to say that a new IP is indeed what Dr. Muzyka’s unannounced “something” is referring to.
Additionally, BioWare’s official site also lists the company has a “New Next Gen Game” in development. However, considering the term “next gen” has caused so much chaos and confusion in the past several years, we’re currently contacting BioWare to see if this means this-next-gen or next-next-gen. Keep checking back with us as we’re sure to keep you updated on this as soon as we hear back from the big guys over at Bioware.[via GTTV]
