The ’11′ in FIFA 11 of course stands for the year of football it will be representing – but it appears it’s also the magic number for fans of the blockbuster franchise.
Two teams of 11 will now be able to battle it out against one another online in Team Play – that is, goalkeepers can now be controlled by players, meaning you can now get frustrated with another extra team mate.
Goalkeepers can now be controlled offline, too, with a ‘Be A Goalkeeper’ mode appearing in the game.
This is the latest in a huge raft of changes in the FIFA franchise for this year’s outing, which also sees customisable teams, stadiums and crowd chants. The news was announced earlier today at GamesCom. FIFA 11 is due in October.[NowGamer]
