THQ have just announced that they have bought the rights to publish Ukrainian developed survival horror RPG/FPS hybrid ’Metro 2033′ – but there appears to be no PS3 version.
Metro 2033 is based on Dmitry Glukhovsky’s book about a post-apocalyptic Russia where the only survivors are left with no choice but to roam the Moscow metro system. Can you guess what year it’s based in?
What’s most surprising about the announcement is the lack of a PS3 version. While the game will be released by THQ on Xbox 360 and PC, there’s no word on the PS3 version. The game was originally flaunted as a PS3/PC exclusive and there was even news on a PS3 version at the start of this year.
But on THQ’s website for the game, there is no mention of a PS3 title. But at least it’ll be out on Xbox 360 and PC in 2010, courtesy of developers 4a-games.
