I know for the fact that I’m not the only one who is staring at his PS3 slim and wishing that it was possible to play Shadow of the Colossus on it. Then again, why wouldn’t I? It’s easily one of the greatest games ever made. Well, it seems like I’m going to get my wish. Famitsu broke the story that a Team ICO collection will be headed toward the Playstation 3. According to Kotaku, however, the details on the release date and distribution method are still up in the air. Among those shallow details, folks are still waiting for more word on Team ICO’s newest game, The Last Guardian. Hopefully more details will be revealed as time goes on.

However, there is one thing that I’m pondering. Why on earth doesn’t Sony just release a patch for their PS3′s that allows backwards compatibility? Am I going to have to wait for a Metal Gear Solid collection as well? Along with the announcement of this collection, a God of War collection has already been released, and a Sly Cooper collection was announced a couple of months ago. Still, games like Shadow of the Colossus and Ico are always going to be worth a purchase, and we’ll try to keep you updated. Feel free to place your opinions firmly in the comment area, folks.
