According to Nintendo’s mastermind, Shigeru Miyamoto, the next entry in the ever loved Zelda franchise will definitely require the use of the new Wii MotionPlus, stating that the new peripheral will “make you feel much more like you’re actually fighting while holding a sword in your hand.” In addition, players will also be able to use the accessory to target on-screen items and enemies in place of the Wii’s infrared sensor, thus giving the player “a much more convenient targeting system and a more pleasurable playing experience.”
“In the previous game, you aimed at things by pointing at the screen, but this time we’ll use MotionPlus to create a much more convenient targeting system and a more pleasurable playing experience.”
While this is pretty much what I expected from Nintendo in regards to the next Zelda game, I have to say that this is exactly what I pictured my experience with Twilight Princess would be like. I guess props are in order here for Nintendo -better late than never I suppose-, especially when we’re talking about something a huge as Zelda. Either way, I’m sure many big fans of the series (including me) will be running to store shelves to buy the game, whether the experience ends up being as good as Miyamoto says it will be, or not.
Do you guys think, this is a fair move by Miyamoto to us gamers? Please comment below. No registration required to comment.
