The merits of motion-controlled gaming in the context of creating a casual experience are fairly obvious, but it can be a little bit harder to discern how other genres may benefit. Survival horror is one that definitely comes to mind, but it looks like Sega are going to take a crack at it. At Microsoft’s conference at the Tokyo Game Show tonight, Sega announced a new title named “Rise of Nightmares” to be released exclusively for the Kinect in 2011. There was nothing shown outside of a brief trailer, but more details are likely to be forthcoming.
